The Dog.

This is a short story about what happened today.

Opposite my grand aunties house is a fairly large house with a dog. A mutt, really. No distinctive breed. Brownish black and only like to bark bark bark bark bark at EVERYTHING!

(light bulb!!)

*evil grin*

As i alighted from the car, i mocked at the mutt. I threw my hands in the air. I "woof woof, bark bark" at it. I jumped little jumps and swung my hands in the air like i just don't care!

woof woof woof woof woof woof woof woof woof woof woof woof woof woof woof woof woof woof

My actions were crazy and drove the mutt to the brink of dogworld insanity.

*more evil grin*

I went inside.

When it was time to go home, again i repeated what i did earlier. Louder and more vibrantly.

WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF

Then i heard someone at the house came out. I braced myself for the music.

I quickly turned towards my car. Nothing.

As i started my engine, still nothing.

From the mirror, i saw owner locking up mutt in cage.

LOL & LMAO ROTF

XD XD XD

.
.
.

ps. i hope no other neighbour saw me, or else i may end up on YouTube. LOL

pps. with the many things going on lately and concurrently, i had to release stress one way or another. It just wasn't the mutt's day today. And it happened to be mine. =P

Of A H1N1, hospitals, and Datuk Bro. Lawrence

Hey peeps!

Don't be alarmed at the title! I DON'T HAVE A H1N1 FLU.

=D

Just that i realized that it is as real as it gets at hospitals. =/

...

I just visited a dear former Principal of St. John's Inst, KL, Datuk Bro. Lawrence Spitzig who is currently hospitalized at Assunta Hospital PJ. He was admitted almost 2 weeks ago because he wasn't eating well at the Little Sisters of the Poor nursing home in Cheras.

Fact to be mentioned, Assunta Hospital is taking no chances with the A H1N1 thing. They've set up A H1N1 screening counters at every entrance to the hospital, and every visitor and staff alike, will be screened before entering the hospital.

At the counter, they will shoot a lazer pointer-like device at your forehead to take your temperature. At this point, i would usually squinge my eyes like (>_<) which would make the nurses laugh. haaaa~ IF you happen to have a slight fever, they will immediately call security, sound the alarm, pack you up in a human body bag, and ship you off to be quarantined for as long as forever promptly direct you to receive immediate medical attention. And you must adhere.

You can make a difference. =)

But if you're fit as a fiddle, they'll slap a small piece of sticker on you and you're free to go. Then on the way up, we saw little green stickers on the floor, on the lift panels, evrywhere la. LOL

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Spot the stickers! XD

Datuk Bro. Lawrence is in the Fatimah Ward on the 5th floor. Very safe, clean, and condusive environment. The ward nurses all very young, cantik, molek, menawan, and helpful. =DD

This is Bro. Lawrence in May 2009 at the Little Sisters of the Poor. I was accompanying him while he waited for his ride to a dinner inconjuction with Teacher's Day. He was the guest of honor at the dinner organized by the Catholic Teacher's Assoc. (i think that's what it is called)\

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Bro. Lawrence was always, and still is, very witty. I remember when i was sitting there with him on the porch, he actually made a joke and we both LOL-ed. haha

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Tada!

His ride. Van owned by a former student of his, now the Chairman of the Board of Governers of SJI, Tuan Megat Mizan Nicholas Denney, which was probaly the only vehicle that was able to bring Bro. Lawrence around. Bro. relied on the wheelchair because his legs were not paying attention to him. =)

Bro. Lawrence is transferred on the car-wheelchair and lifted up into the van. I was @_@

Waaaaaa.

XD XD XD

...

That was Bro. Lawrence months ago. He is much thinner now because he can't eat. Nevertheless, with eyes a tad sunken and some breathlessness, he is still the same old witty man we all know came to know, respect, and love.

I want to share with you our conversation form my last visit before leaving:

Bro.: Will you come back to see me?
Me: Sure i will. Soon.
Bro.: (Gestures a thumbs up sign)
Me: Bro. Lawrence, take care and take some rest, okay?
Bro.: I have been resting for weeks now.
(referring to the fact that he has been in the hospital for weeks)
Me: *smiles* (LOL in my heart!)

** This dialoge above was actually quite melancholic and abit heart wrenching, for me, esp when he asked, will you come back... He appears to believe that he is still in school, but after a few mentions, he becomes aware he is in the hospital.

It has to do with the salt drips they administered to him. Sodium and potasuim (i think) tend to make the patient go "quirky" at times, but when it settles, it's okay. But the meds also cause him to be quite tempremental at times. At his ripe age of 91 yo, can you imagine the pain he has to endure when the nurses poke a 3 inch needle into his already thin hands?

NO WONDER he is tempremental.

IF you have met him before or been his former student or just know him as a formidable man, please pray for him that God may continue to do a marvelous work in him and heal him once again. He has no relatives here in Malaysia, save a few Brothers from the Brother's mission and a handful of close and concerned teachers and students.
Never underestimate the power of prayer.
-Datuk Bro. Lawrence Spitzig
Visit when you can, and cheer him up as best you can. He somehow responds well to music. The other day i brought an MP3 player with some of his fave songs like 'Green Green Grass of Home '- Tom Jones, 'The Young Ones' - Cliff Richards and 'Congratulations' and let him listen to them.

Boy was he happy and cheerful after that... He even tapped his fingers to the melody!

Look forward to visiting him again -- with new songs, of course! ;-p

ps. found an article of Datuk Bro. Lawrence here. Google His name for more info.

I Feel Lonely

Remember Sasha? It's a HE btw, not a she. ;p

Sasha, real name, Sasha Schmitz was born on 5 Jan 1972 in Germany.

Funny that he's German, his songs are English and the sound English too. XD

Came into the limelight at a very young age through some local Teen Idol programme and is a big fan of the King of Rock, Elvis Presley.

Debuted with this song, 'I fell lonely', somewhere around 1998 - 99, during my teen years. Heard his song, forgotten the song for ahwile (he didn't shine too long in the music industry... i only remeber this ONE song of his), but the tune was ALWAYS in my head.

I swear i can hum and sing boyband songs from bands during my growing years. Dun play play man. XD

Now that i've found a site to download music, i suddenly remembered him.

Like my childhood "crush" all over again. Aaah.... =D

Do you know him? ^_^

Lyrics to his songs HERE.

His fansite. (Google translator may help translate from Polish. XD)

...

ps. the MTV so cute wan, got cute story line, cute suspence part, and cute ending... everything oso cute! ayo.

XD XD XD

After Wednesday...

Is Thursday.

Yea, i know, duffus.

Just want to say that every time the day switches from Wednesday to Thursday, i cant help feel like its gonna be the weekends soon!

*YAY*

It's almost like, going up a mountain, and Wednesday is the hill top, the middle part where things are tough to get by.

But once you've passed that, its a breeze...

Thursday is the relaxing journey down.

Aaaaahhhh....

I can almost feel the feel end breeze...

I can't wait!

Don't worry, we still have...

3:05 - Don't worry, we still have Khir Toyo.

OMG farnee farnee farnee!!!

This is a parody made by some Malaysian genius in the wake of the sudden and tragic death of Teo Beng Hock, who was found dead on MACC gounds after he was 'supposedly' released from questioning by the MACC. Alot of mysteries surround his death and many FRUSTRATED MALAYSIANS have come to voice out their sick-and-tired-ness of the nonsense that has been happening eversince March 8, 2009. *hint hint*

These below are two vidoes by MediaRakyat, which exposed what actually happened at the MACC HQ on the day of the demonstration. What you will see is FUNNY AT SOME PARTS but in other, NOT IN ANY WAY FRIENDLY AT ALL.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. =D

Justice for Beng Hock: We Want Justice 17/07/09 (Part 1)

Justice for Beng Hock: We Want Justice 17/07/09 (Part 2)

Observe how the law enforcers, aka POLIS, acted unruly and further create a bigger ruckus with the demonstrators. Then hear them hit back at the police with cheers of "Polis Ganas! Polis Ganas!". The cheers were an epic lah. Watch lah. Video #2. =D

ps. i just don't get it. Why must the Malaysian Police act so unruly like a bunch of samsengs? EVEN the demonstrators behave unruly - which is quite understandable because they are frustrated and irky - the police does not have to become unruly too, or else they would just have sunk to the demonstrators' level. Now, i'm sure that's NOT what they have been trained for in army camps, right? What happened to discipline and self control? Let the demonstrators to do what they have to in peace, wait till they tire out, then the demonstrators will leave. You THINK demonstartors all VERY FREE to mess with the police ah? Hobby izit? sheesh.

pps. Then again, the police says the gathering of more than 5 people is illegal as long as they police don't issue a permit. Then "tag-em-and-bag-em" all la. Bring the upteen police trucks and park nearby, standby to shove EVERYONE there into the trucks and interrogate them. IF not, why just detain a few from the crowd? And create a ruckus while doing it? You'll hear people shouting foul at the police, manhandling, and see elbow shuffed here and there. @_@

ppps. Anyhow, waste saliva only talk about them Malaysian Police. Watch the videos, you'll see. I had a friend from the US, emailed me and asked about what the hell is going on in Malaysia. He says the atrocity is all over YouTube!! OMG

...

Just here to spread the awareness.

"Don't Shoot ME!!"

Last Saturday, my team Yakuza and I met up for a round of training at Astaka Field, PJ in preparation for the upcoming National Paintball League in Melaka. It was quite a show!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

We had the usual team - Eu Gene, Josh Lim, Uncle, -, -, Simon, me, Mojosh, -, Ashley, Evo, - -- and four new guns that day. Check them out, they're in my sidebar -->

Totally noobs first timers (at Astaka, or in a looong time) - and all bloggers!! XD

Instead of having them come and shoot aimlessly for fun, i had a crash course with them. And before we knew it, they were already playing like amatuers with the team. =)

I don't expect to repeat the story here, when many others have come up with a superb take of that day in their blogs. Check them out, sure tak menyesal wan! XD

The Paintball Blog Post - Jeremy
Paintball - Chia Wei
Tmn Negara Woohoo Here i come - Eu Gene (i know.. apparently titles DO deceive.)

One of the most memorable part of the day was when Jason, Jeremy, Mojosh and myself had a mini match in the small field. Mojosh was using an e-marker, everyone else, mekmarker (mechanical).

And right after Jason, who was on my side, got shot and made it 2 VS 1, my mekmarker had to run out gas!! Damn!

Imagine this okay. There is a cork on the top end of the mekmarker which resets everytime i pull the tirgger.

[sound of mekmarker firing]
*perrreeeeeeettttttttt*

(pulls cork back -- FIRE)

*perrreeeeeeettttttttt*

(pulls cork back -- FIRE)

repeat like another 20 times, trying to hit Mojosh and Jeremy on the other side.

@_@

Simon, who was watching the 'drama' with alot of other players outside the field, shouted that i should just give up and refill gas. "Give up la.. you no more gas edi larh..." were his exact words.. XD

"Simon, you've GOTTA be kidding, right? Yakuza captain? Pulling out because no gas?!! Not in a million years! And IF im going down, im taking these two with me!", i told myself. LOL

But by this time, i moved up to the center bunker.. I bet our friend Mojosh, holding his emarker, oredy confident to take me out. LOL. But i gave a fight. We had a go at each other while Jeremy hid behind the bunker. (No idea why. LOL)

Then when i realized Mojosh moving up on my left to bunker me, i moved around my bunker towards the right for cover, hence exposing my back to Jeremy. All this happened almost at the same time, so try to catch up:

- Mojosh run up left side of me, bunkering me with super alot of pallets from his borrowed emarker.
(bunkering -- shooting at the bunker so opponent doesn't come out and when the shooter comes in sight of the hiding opponent, he takes him out)
- I ran around my bunker, shooting back at Mojosh. He shot my leg, i jumped and evaded.
- As i came around my bunker, and Mojosh already in a bunker on the opposite side of the field, i stood up, took a pose, pointed and shouted at Jeremy, "You DON'T SHOOT ME!!"
- Jeremy diam diam hid back into his bunker.
- I continued to shoot at Mojosh.
- I got him at his visor. He's out! (subjected to arguments)
- I turn again now for Jeremy (who by now, is a little dumbfounded, because just now, i shouted athim don't shoot, then i shoot at him pulak! LOL)
- Jeremy also tried to bunker me. Only that this time, it worked. T_T

LOL

See?

And yet they ask me why i have this face after the match. @_@

Congratulations!!

The world is now at your feet!

Well, sort of.

XD

...

A close friend of mine graduated from The One Academy recently.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

After studying in Form 6 in St. John's Inst. KL for 2 years, he undertook an Advertising & Design Diploma course at The One Academy (TOA) after winning a RM30k scholarship from a Merdeka drawing competition.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Despite his 180 degrees turn from what he studied in Form 6, he persued a future in the arts; communcation design, to be exact. He excelled in this field which was his passion since young. He is extremely talented in figure drawing, marker rendering, and all stuff artsy, but eversince TOA, he developed a keen sense in advertising, illustration, web design and concept art.

He even helped me in my assignments during MY varsity years! Thanks to him, my team got the grades. :-P

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
(i believe, i took this picture.......... see? i have some sense in photography too, eh? LOL)

All was well during the graduation ceremony at Sheraton Imperial Hotel, Subang. All, short for a few minor computer glitches and the drowsy speeches. =S

The star of the day was gleaming from the very moment he put on his robes, till he returned them at the end of the event. Well, he very well should be.

He's graduating!

Here's one whit the family =)

What's next?

He's due to further his studies to obtain a degree the UK. Flying off mid August, i think. =P

So here's to you, Yoon Kiat, my dear friend,

May you excel in every part of your life from here on forth.
Go all out and see the world and widen your horizons.
Be bold and go where we may not be able to reach.

May you have a wonderful and safe experience in the UK learning and exploring and sharing.

Never let a moment slip by without making the best of it!

All the best!

Durians - its STILL a family affair

Yesterday, as i was driving home, i spotted a makeshift stall by the road selling the fruit that many people, especially the ang mohs, love to hate. XD

Durians.

*yum*

Haha. As i pulled up across the street, i saw the durians pilled up according to their "standards", all over the ground. Ever since the durian season hit KL, i made an observation on the durians stalls.

When the durians look like they are "displayed" in a manner which is time consuming, ie, tied up to hang one by one from top to toe**, or arrannged in such a manner where they wont be moved for a long time, these may not be good durians*.

**For illustration purposes:
__________(pole)____
-!- - !- !- -
-!- - !- !- -
(*) (*) (*) - durians (imagine the thornes k? =p)
-!- - !- !- -
(*) (*) (*)
-!- - !- !- - - rafia string
(*) (*) (*)
-!- - !- !- -
(*) (*) (*)

Why?

Because (i think) if you they take time to display them in this manner**, and after few days, STILL in the same manner, they probably haven't sold any at all. The durians are, like suggested, FOR DISPLAY ONLY. XD

Then when someone eventually buys, it would be fresh oredy. Well, at least not as fresh as other durians which are pilled up all over the ground lah. Those fresh from the lorry that kind. =P

Anyway, that's just me.

So i crossed the road and walked towards the stall, locking on sight on the durians which were on the ground. I prayed in my heart, "God, pls guide the fella to pick a good durian with nice flesh and no worms. And pls, before i forget, pls dun let them "cut" me..." Then i saw: D2, D24, no-D, and many more la.

Ayo. Buy durian also so many to choose from. @_@

I went up pointed to the pile with the sign that read: 2 biji RM10 asked the man to pick two nice nice wan ah.. *flashes a big, wide smile* That what i got the weeks ago. And it was a good buy.

But suddenly, he suggested, "Take this one la. Leng wan! RM 10 only! Very nice one..!"

I smiled. But at the back of my head, i thought, "Sei for lo, SURE kena "cut" wan this fella...!" @_@ LOL

But looking at the size of the durian that he was holding up, almost to my face, i figured, okay lah. Since its just three if us at home to eat anyway. (saja oni, self assuring myself. XD)

...

After dinner, we had durian. Mixed feelings. Enough to eat or not? Fresh or not? GOT WORM OR NOT??!! @_@

When i opened it, jeng jeng jeng!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

MAGGOTS!!

I instantly went @$%^&*&(*)(*&^%$#%^&*(&)*&!!! *jumped away in disgust action* LOL

Straight away wanted to boikot the stall ady! XD

But as it turned out, only those two were affected. The rest were fine. In fact, the rest were GOOOD! LOL

Sweet and bitter-ish. Just like Father Tan likes it. =)

Praise be to God.

Halfway through, Daddy rationalized that durians with worms shows that the fruit is "kinda" free of pestisides. So in a way, it was a good thing. And the maggots were still in egg-form. Luckily. Cause if not, id be barfing away oredy... XD XD XD

Just curious: How did they even end up INSIDE? There were no holes to indicate that the fruit was compromised by worms. =P

Still, to be safe, before every bite i took, I LOOKED. =P

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
All clear. Eat away. =)

And then i tell you, it was SO good, Daddy just ate and ate and ate, and didnt really care about the maggots. Hence the final outcome was as below:

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

He had NINE (9), i only managed SEVEN (7). *ahem* the tiny one on the right ALSO counted kay! XD

When i lamented that he ate too fast, therefore i couldnt catch up to make up the numbers, he suggest that there were two cloves of durian left.

Yes, the maggot infested ones. Pulak.

@_@

LOL

So yea, despite all the panik city about getting "cut", and maggots and all, durians STILL is a family affair! XD

*Disclaimer: this is based on personal observation, on which i base my personal opinion. I do not take responsibility for any ill effect cause by application of this information and should people buy less from durian stalls with the mentioned characteristics. I am not responsible if the durian stalls near my house don't profit from people who have read this post. Thank you.

Saying Goodbye...

I just got off the phone with a few friends earlier, each on a different call.

We spoke on some current issues, some common interests, and some money talk.

But when it was time to hang up, i discovered that my friends have a very funny way of saying goodbye! Not that it was hillarious or anything, just funny.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
*Pics from Corbis

Funny as in odd. More or less, with the lack for a better word, pecculiar. XD

I mean, what you do you understand when someone says, "Goodbye", "Bye", or "Ok, see ya!" ?

That indicates the conversation has come to an end point and it is time to hang up the phone right?

Apparently, not to a handful of the people i know (and most people out there, i'd reckon).

I, on the other hand, being one of them people who appreciates other peoples' time, i would just hang up after i've said bye! Fast fast liddat sumore. Sometime, its just, "By.. *click*" haha XD XD XD

My friends, i think they have a DHU Syndrome which stands for Delayed Hang Up Syndrome. OMG. After i say "BYE!!" in the most enthusiastic manner possible, they would STILL go:

#1. Ok lah. Ill see you. We'll talk later lah. Ok? Bye.

#2. (after ive said BYE) Em, sorry ha, im going in toilet, cant talk now. call you later k?

#3. Em, ok. Thanks! Ok la. See you. Bye.

I don't get it... what's with all the extra verbage?!! LOL

Just "BYE!" *click*

Kan senang gitu? XD XD XD

If you follow me, you'll realize this also happens on MSN. And the conversation can end only after 4-5 lines of more verbage... like..

maRCus says: like -- Ok, gtg. bye :] )
DHUS person says: oh. ok la
DHUS person says: bye bye
DHUS person says: take care man
DHUS person says: nitez...

Then comes the many many different kinds of silly/farnee/crazy emoticons!! @_@ haha

DHUS person says: and the like... LOL

Okay okay, i admit, i USED to have DHU Syndrome. But im getting more ruthless un-delayed now. Cut down to at most, K. gtg. cya [Alt-F4] LOL

But then again, so funny la these people. They make my life more colourful! *yay* Becasue of this, i got something to blog about. heee...

Its not wrong.. its just a personality profile of people thru mediated communication. =)

.
.
.

Ok la. gtg now. cya.

Happy Birthday Father Tan!

Hey peeps! We just celebrated my Daddy's birthday!! He is as old aged as Malaysia is... He's a Merdeka baby! XD

It was nothing fancy mancy, just dinner at home with some good family laughter!

I went out to get the cake -- it was a Blackforest cake with fresh cream from Four Leaves bakery in Sogo, LG Floor. My late Mummy always buys this same cake from the very same bakery when i was growing up -- my birthday, Mother's or Father's Day, anniversaries, and the like. So i definitely want to continue the family tradition. =D

Mich was supposed to make some suppose to make some sorta Manggo Pie, but tak sempat. Guess that will have to wait. =P

Initially, Mich and i came up with a 'Surprise Daddy Mission' for his birthday. So we hid the cake and went about dinner as if nothing special was going to happen. So Daddy got back, and we had dinner. I think he was also wondering what were his two kids up to... XD

After dinner, we automatically went on and did our own things; Daddy read papers, i went to my pc, and Mich played the piano. Until. Daddy went to brush his teeth to get ready for bed.

We (but mostly me) so hurry the barry jumped into the kitchen, taking out the cake from the freezer, fixing and lighting the candle and getting ready to sing out loud 'Happy Birthday' -- all while holding back our urge to LOL!! I seriously can't recall what was so farnee, but all i remember was we giggled and tahan, giggled and tahan, then giggle became a laugh, and eventually beh tahan oredy, so ngam Daddy come out to the hall, we jumped out of the kitchen, bursting in laughter!! OMG... XD

(it was supposed to be jumping out and singing 'Happy Birthday'... haha!)

That instant, when we saw Daddy's jaw-clink-clang-waa-what-is-all-this look, we LAGI burst out in laughter!! My sister biasa la, laugh until her whole body can bounce up and down wan.. XD And i nearly dropped the candle lit cake!! LOL

Of late, my sister have developed an urging need to take alot alot alot of photos, which would loosely translate to cam-ho-ing, in blogging terms. She just loves to take photo, take photo, take photo -- with my not-so-able Nokia 6120, and then will say, "Aiyo! Not nice wan.. AGAIN!" XD

I shall illustrate:

Okay... okay... Customary birthday picture as below:

But i duno why Mich got a "2" and i got a "5"... LOL (*ahem* kindly pardon skinny legs. T_T)

Okay okay... may be a family pic wouldn't hurt:

And abit stealing the limelight:

Our birthday, wana take photo with cake; OTHER PPL'S BIRTHDAY, we also sibuk wana take pic with the cake! =D

But then, comes the pictures galore...

And it gets crazier:

Purely Michele's idea. (aaahhha, Daddy kena hempap! LOL)

And finally, the lil cake box:

All in a days work!

Mission Surprise Daddy: ACCOMPLISHED. XD

Happy Birthday Father Tan!

ps. Father Tan is our nickname that we give to Daddy... Kinda picked it up from an old neighbour, surnamed Lau, who calles his parents Lau Mami and Lau Dady. LOL

Its official, im in love with Natatile !!

I don't know for sure ...

What cause the fuzzy wuzzy, lovey duvy feeling inside ...

But i feel it everytime i watch her ...

Watch watch watch ... XD

Could it be the song "No One" by Alicia Keys?

Or how she spoke with a cute, British accent, which i SO lurve!!

Or Simon's gleaming, ear-to-ear smile? @_@

Or how she ran backstage and gave everyone a big warm hug?

Or just being a little girl with a pretty big voice, like Pierre said?

.
.
.
.
.
.
.

I mean, what's there not to love about lil Natalie, right?!! LOL

My fave part has gotta be when Simon said "Natalie, i think you are ... totallt andutterly, ADORABLE.. "

Young kids these days... so full of talent! Don't ya think so?

I *hearts* Natalie! =D

...

ps. it's video clips like these that give you that "feel good feeling" to lift you up in whatever situation you are in. Just here to spread the cheer. =)

pps. also, i think the production team is very cleaver to brilliantly arrange the background music in such a way to build up and climax at the right instant when Natalie's expression is at her best to evoke the viewers' emotion to raise them up and creating that "feel good" factor! Kudos to them!! (it happend for Susan Boyle too!)
