Waltzing at the Viennese Ball!

Heyya everybody!!

Its been so much fun at the a ball, i almost forgot to blog about it!! tsk tsk tsk. Sorry yah.. the past week after the Viennese Ball has been busy+hectic+lazy for me.. And ive just learnt my lesson, abit abit if better than nothing at all!! SORRY to you loyal readers, for putting up with me and keep coming back! (^^)

Okay! Enough ber-derama.. It's the Viennese Ball!! Well, to start off, i cant even begin to tell you the fun i had!! It was FANTABULOUS!! You must attend it for yourself.. you must, you must, you MUST! (next year, perhaps. hehe)

I was selected by R.AGE to be a Debutante (say it with me now.. deh-beu-ton... haha). This is the video i sent in that made me live the Cinderella story -- except without the 12 o'clock curfew. :P

Being a R.AGE Debutant too, we got our outfits (i wore a dashing tuxedo) personally tailored by none other than the renowned Alvin Tay. More about him later, but meanwhile, check out his superb site, Alvin Tay Couture.

Now, at the ball. I think i'll do whats best at the moment: flood it with photos. k? :p
The events, in chronological order:

The Arrival.

The Debutantes started arriving as early as 3pm! The ladies came with their hair all done and dolled up. Gloves and crowns were distributed shortly after.

The Rehersal.

The 'us' during full rehearsal with the Viennese Orchestra.
(L-R): Aki, Jackie, Ian, me. Ian is the Star R.AGE journalist who writes fabulous stories about us and the ball! One heck of a happening guy!! XD

The Austrian dinner.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
We were served authentic Austrian dishes; sausages, beef stew, and buns - white bun, brown bun, wholemeal bun! Coffee and tea on the house, courtesy of KLCC Convex.

Debutantes who were used to seeing rice for dinner, got a sudden rush of panic when they saw what was served that evening. Apa lagi? Bantai extra lar..! XD

The Germans (kids).

The Wait.
Photobucket
This was our home for the nest 2 hours. Many cam-whorred the entire time we were there. Some fixed their gown because it was too long, while other fixed their crowns. I found out, each crown would need at least 20 hair pins! Whoa.. suddenly im glad i didnt have to wear a crown. : )

According to Austrian tradition, the debutantes are not allowed to mingle with the guest before their debut -- because they must be formally introduces to society. :-D

So, the dress up, and subsequent, locking away. We didn't mind it at all! XD

The Cam-whoring.

R.AGE Debutantes: Andy, me, Mubaraq aka Hyper! (Now HE steals my limelight! XD)

Our Debut! The Viennese Ball itself!
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Our grand entrance -- this is the Polonaise, the first of three dances we were to perform that night, which was followed by the Quadrille and the Viennese Waltz.

The Quadrille.
Photobucket
The fast tempo-ed and exhilarating Quadrille.

The Viennese Waltz.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
And finally, the head-hip-body-booty spinning, Viennese Waltz. Don't we look pretty? :-)

The Dance Floor.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Then, when Mr. Reinhard Polt, our dance master, said "Alles walzer", which means Waltz for everyone, guests and debutantes alike filled the dance floor... Looks funn ringht? But its no easy feat, cause at one point, it became SO crowded, we kept crashing into guests and VIPs!! omg.. =_="
Austrian Ambassador to Malaysia, Dr. Dr Donatus Koeck said the same thing in the video interview by The Star. You MUST watch it here.
(NO, i'm, serious. CLICK THE LINK. NOW.) XD

World class performance.

The superb dance performance by ballet dancers Jozef Dolinsky and Raffaela Pegani.

The Royalties and VIPs.

L-R (Back): Reinhard Polt [Dance master], can't remember who. XD
L-R (front): Irene Haidmann [Viennese Ball Exec Director], H.E.'s wife, H.E. Dr. Donatus Koeck [Austrian Ambassador], Marcela Cerno [Opera singer], YAM tunku Naquiyuddin ibni Tuanku Ja'afar [Regent of N. Sembilan], Herwig Pecoraco [Tenor], and the famed Johann Turek [Pianist].

At 12 midnight.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
The final dance of the night: the midnight Quadrille! It was so much fun because each Debutantes geats to dance with a guest, accompanied by the brilliant Viennese Orchestra. The best part was, the orchestra played faster and faster and we had so much fun trying to catch up!!

The Dance Master's Toast!
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
To show our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to our very own dance master, Ace Waran, another Debutante for the second time this year, got the ball rolling to carry dear ol' Mr. Polt and parade around the dance floor! Even the guest were applauding as we circled the dance floor with the bug guy on our skinny shoulders! XD

The after party.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Themed Salsa Night, the live band was serenading us with up-tempo salsa songs while other guests help themselves to free flow of red wine, champange, beer, and coke, as well as the same Austrian stuff they served us Debutantes for dinner -- sausages, beef stew, and buns! (Must be left overs kot.. haha! jk jk)

Everyone dancing like crazy on the dance floor! I helped myself to a few sausages and buns and a few rounds of wine coke, before dragging myself onto the dance floor to learn how to salsa from Sasha, a fellow R.AGE Debutante. Go check her out at her blog: Walking down a road called... LIFE. She dances very well, and she's hawwt!!

One for the night.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Guess who? =D

For those of you who watch alot of TV, or may be just the Amazing Race: Asia, S3, you'd probably be able to make an educated guess that the hottie im with is Bernie Chan! Yeaps, you read right, BERNIE CHAN! XD

Apparently, i know her neice and we just suddenly became friends. She's just so nice and out going, and she's HAWWWTT!! No doubt about that! ;-D

Oh, and about the results, i did ask her, at dinner. She simply said, "If i told you, i'd have to kill you!" Haha. See how friendly we've became? ;-D

...

Well folks, that's about it for the Viennese Ball KL 2008, in pictures. It was literally like a fairy tale come true... But i must say, it was rather shortlived. More on other hot, juicy stuff about the ball, coming up!

I just need to get some pictures in place, then i'm all set to go! I can't promise you anything, but one thing's for sure, this is NOT the last post about the Viennese Ball from me! Wahahaha..

Stay tuned! XD

Note: Pictures are courtesry of Mr. Hannes Steiner and Mr. Ace Waran. All other unwatermarked photos are property of tanengsonmarcus.blogspot.com. Reusing these photos without permission by the owner is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

We like to.... MOVE IT!!

I read somewhere about humans having sex the sexy time (as Borat famously put it) with dolphins. Yeap.. dolphins! The only other mammal in the world who likes to have the sexy time for funn!! =P

Anyway, back to the post. I came by Jade's blog and found out she was giving out tics to the premier screening of Madagascar 2: Escape to Africa.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Click image to get to Jade.
http://www.jadezheng.com

And when i found out that the criteria was to post about what kind of animal would you like to imagine your partner to be in bed, and why, i was elated! Finally, i have a reason to write about the dolphins! LoLx

I think i've kinda revealed my animal of choice, but just for formality sake, IF i'm able to choose what kinda of animal i'd want my partner to be in bed, i'll most definitely choose DOLPHINS! No doubt about that! XD

Not that im horny or what yea. Haha. I just think of all the animals, dolphins stands out among the rest. Dolphins are like the smartest mammals after the chimps (or was is the other way?) . Anyway, they also have very high libidos...! Ahaha. This here tells of the whole human-dolphin sexy time thing. Read at your own risk, you have been warned. XD
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
But for the sake of awareness, read this. Well, its not like you can simply find a dolphin to have sexy times with here in Malaysia kan? Dugongs maybe lar, but that's a whole different story oredy! XP

So yeah, enuf promo, back to the post. My personal reason for choosing a dolphin is that i'd like to imagine my partner being gentle (they're relatively gentle creatures), smart, and FUNN in bed! Dolphins can, for some weird reason, communicate with us; hence, im sure we'll have a better understanding during our sexy time. HAha.

That's the rocket scientist in me talking. Well, i just like them because they're cute! Wouldn't you agree? hehe..
Photobucket - Video and Image HostingTold ya. =P
Well, that's all for my entry this time around. Will i get it? Or will i be disappointed? Only time will tell. hehe. For those of you who has time or find it hard to believe that dolphins actually want to have sexy time with humans, check out these Youtubes: dolphin sexy time with guy and girl. XD

ps. EVo, NOW i get what all the funny bunny in your blog was about! ahaha.

The Floating Teacup

The other day, i was having dinner with my family in Sentul, my childhood area. It was on the night of the Mooncake Festival, i think. But it rained, and the Hokkien noodle shop we were heading to closed for the day. So we settled with calling some Chinese dishes at Ah Hong's Shop.

We ordered heated pan tofu, some baby kai lan (Zach... *grin*) and heated pan fish. Duno what fish, but the way it was prepared made it so tasty, Daddy even bantai-ed the head! :-) Anyway, this post is about the floating tea cup. That was the preamble. Here's the gist.

Can an empty Chinese tea cup float?

Yes? No? Dunno?
Photobucket
Well, it actually depends on how you look at it. You see, while we were sipping Chinese tea after we ate to our hearts contenment, i was fiddling with the tea cups and dunking them into the plastic bowl.

I wanted to see if the tea cup could float.

So i filled the plastic bowl almost until the brim but not overflowing. Then i sorta dropped the tea cup into the bowl. And guess what?
It sank.
Then i said to myself, "Cannot be. Boat so big oso can float, this is a tea cup! I try again." This time, i gently lowered the same tea cup into the water, carefully ensuring no water flowed into it. And this time, it floated!

"Eureka!!"

Then it struck me, it is not WHAT you do, but it is HOW you do that something which you do.
Get it? HOW you do it, determines the ultimate outcome of an action.
When you need to get a message across, it all depends on HOW you say it.

In another light, you may have tonnes of knowledge and you want to share that knowledge with everyone. But it is of paramount importance that you consider HOW you share it because it doesn't really matter WHAT you have to share.

Get ma drift? Hope this helped you, in some special way. :-D

Samsungs INNOV8 - here i come!

OH MY GAWD..!!

That's what i exclaimed aloud when i opened and read an email from Samsung Malaysia. It was from Sue, whom i met during the last WCG in Mid Valley.

"Only got GOOD news from her lar..", i thought. Indeed, i was right..
XD

It turns out, Samsung is organizing, yet again, another super fantastic event -- and this time, ive been invited! (Cant't blame me for being a whole lot abit happy to get email form Sue right? XD)

Well, ill keep it short and sweet. I want to be part of this mega hit event (which i think will be a super fantastic hit on the day) because of not only the fantabulous prizes up for grabs and the amazing adventure which will inevitably ensue, but for this reason below:

Requirements
We’re looking for fun loving people eager to try out new things and challenges. Let us know if you
have a car (petrol voucher will be given). Those without cars can still take part as teams will be allocated by Samsung.
Photobucket

This baby here is my wheels; my vehicle of transport; my car; my chic magnet! (its true!)

It's a Mitsubishi Colt Mirage of a 1980s make - dubbed my 'Grease Lighting' for valid reasons - that's 25 years old, and still running like a horse!

Okay.. okay.. you got me there. Well, it may not exactly be purring like just out of the showroom; and alot afew horses may have escaped the engine over the years, but its still as sturdy and able as ever!

But the thing is, my roommate and friends, make fun of it. Even when it attracts chics like a magnet, back in my varsity years! So i'd tell them everytime, "Eh, even if you don't respect me, AT LEAST RESPECT MY CAR LAH!"
*everyone breaks down in laughter* =_="

So, i thought, IF only i could get it (the car) and myself into this event, it could probably prove its worth! (So, all you ppl who laughed at my car before, wait and see and be surprised..!) LoL
Photobucket
For more info, you know what to do: http://www.innov8run.com/ or http://www.blogmob.mobileworld.com.my/

This IS gonna be one heck of an event -- and an amazing adventure for me and my Grease Lighting! LoL

So, i guess it's not to much to ask for you to "at least respect my car", right? wahahaha. XD
* Thanks Sue, for thinking of me ;-)

Tagged by Emilio V

Many thanks to Emilio V for this lovely tag to fill my blog. =_=" haha.

RULE: Do it. And duplicate it to 6 other people. That also means tag 'em! Haha.

1. If your lover betrayed you, what will your reaction be?
Que sera sera.. What ever will be, will be. Nah. Seriously? I would cry for a day, then move on with life. Cause life's too short to be wasted on regret, and sucky stuff like that. Period.

2. If you can have a dream to come true, what would it be?
For me to be wealthy, but still remain incredibly humble to help make the world a better place. I so want to push myself to the limit and prove to people, there are people in this world who will refuse to succumb greed and other things that drives a man crazy. Abit utopia right? Not e the question, IF you can have a DREAM. Haha.

3. Whose butt would you like to kick?
Why kick the butt when i know for a fact, i can make him suffer more? I'd the the person up, and tickle him till he cracks!

4. What would you do with a billion dollars?
Spend some. Keep some. Give some away. Use some to make more. The rest used to help make the world a better place.

5. Pretty but fat/Ugly but slim, which one would you prefer?
It's an oxymoronic statement. YOU try answer and see. Makes you feel like a moron, doesn't it? Haha. (ps. for those who may not know, oxymoron is two words of opposing meaning being put together; bitter sweet.)

6. Which is more blessed, loving someone or being loved by someone?
Loving someone. Definitely loving someone. Loved by someone anybody can get; you just have to be the right person there at the right time. Now, loving someone is like giving something of yours away (time, effort, etc). Everyone loves to receive, but not many would give. And that's tough, but highly worth it when achieved in the end. Are you with me? :-D

7. How long do you intend to wait for someone you really love?
As long as it takes. What ever is yours, IS yours. It will come. You just have to be patient and have a lil faith.

8. If the person you secretly like is already attached, what would you do?
Slap myself to wake up and smell the coffee! Stop going for already attached people! If like, go straight and tell them, don't secret secret. Dam stupid like that. =P

9. If you like to act with someone, who will it be? your gf/bf or an actress/actor?
Act arh? Ayo. This is getting weirder and weirder lar. Well, if i have to answer, i'd have to say i look forward to acting with anyone who i am comfortable and cna click with. I can't stand people whom i can't get alont with. Then i'd be acting for them, not with them, if you get my drift. I'd be fake as hell. lol

10. Will you invite for Ex bf/gf to your wedding dinner?
It really depends on the situation. I don't even have an ex to begin with.. haha. But in any case, i'd have to consider the nature of which we separated in the first place. If we broke up based on a mutual understanding, and we are still friends, i don't see why not. After all, we enjoyed each others company, but just too bad it didn't work out. Don't lar invite your excessive compulsive natured ex whom you had the most horrible break up with. That would be like digging your own grave.

11. How would you see yourself in ten years time?
Humbly successful.

12. What's your fear?
I have quite alot, but the one that ranks the highest is MYSELF. "You are your worst enemy." And i mean that in every way. Think about it. IF you had an enemy that you could wipe out fromt he face of the planet, you would. But if that enemy is YOU, could you kill youself? If you can't, then you;d have to face the posibility of living with that enemy all your life. Scary huh? lol

13. What kind of person do you think the person who tagged you is?
Emilio's a great guy. Got lots of potential to make it, and make it BIG in life -- if he grabs the bull by its horns! :-D

14. Would you rather be single and rich or married but poor?
I defy this question by answering that i want to be rich and have a great family. Don't we all? Being single but rich is lonely, but being poor but married, isn't all good either. Being poor doesn't pay bills and keep a family alive. Quite debateable, but i've made my stand. :-D

15. What's the first thing you do when you wake up?
Stretch. Breathe. Strecth again. And get off bed awhile later. Eventually. :-D

16. Would you give all in a relationship?
I believe in certain reservations. My money is my money, your money is your money.

17. If you fall in love with two people simultaneously, who would you pick?
None. I'd rather not have both, than have one, and life to regret not having the other. XD

18. Would you forgive and forget no matter how horrible a thing the someone has done?
It depends. But in any case, i will make the effort to attempt to forgive and forget, no matter how hard it will be.

19.Do you prefer being single or having a relationship?
Being single!

What goes around, comes around

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
One day a man saw an old lady, stranded on the side of the road, but even in the dim light of day, he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes and got out.

His Pontiac was still sputtering when he approached her. Even with the smile on his face, she was worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so. Was he going to hurt her? He didn't look safe; he looked poor and hungry.

He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold. He knew how she felt. It was that chill which only fear can put in you.

He said, 'I'm here to help you, ma'am. Why don't you wait in the car where it's warm? By the way, my name is Bryan Anderson.'

Well, all she had was a flat tire, but for an old lady, that was bad enough. Bryan crawled under the car looking for a place to put the jack, skinning his knuckles a time or two. Soon he was able to change the tire. But he had to get dirty and his hands hurt.

As he was tightening up the lug nuts, she rolled down the window and began to talk to him. She told him that she was from St. Louis and was only just passing through. She couldn't thank him enough for coming to her aid.

Bryan just smiled as he closed her trunk.. The lady asked how much she owed him. Any amount would have been all right with her. She already imagined
all the awful things that could have happened had he not stopped. Bryan
never thought twice about being paid. This was not a job to him.

This was helping someone in need, and God knows there were plenty, who had given him a hand in the past. He had lived his whole life that way, and it never occurred to him to act any other way.

He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give that person the assistance they needed, and Bryan added, 'And think of me.'

He waited until she started her car and drove off. It had been a cold and depressing day, but he felt good as he headed for home, disappearing into the twilight.

A few miles down the road the lady saw a small cafe. She went in to grab a bite to eat, and take the chill off before she made the last leg of her trip home. It was a dingy looking restaurant. Outside were two old gas pumps. The whole scene was unfamiliar to her.

The waitress came over and brought a clean towel to wipe her wet hair. She had a sweet smile, one that even being on her feet for the whole day couldn't erase. The lady noticed the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant, but she never let the strain and aches change her attitude. The old lady wondered how someone who had so little could be so giving to a stranger. Then she remembered Bryan.

After the lady finished her meal, she paid with a hundred dollar bill. The waitress quickly went to get change for her hundred dollar bill, but the old lady had slipped right out the door. She was gone by the time the waitress came back. The waitress wondered where the lady could be. Then she noticed something written on the napkin.

There were tears in her eyes when she read what the lady wrote: 'You don't owe me anything. I have been there too. Somebody once helped me out, the way I'm helping you. If you really want to pay me back, here is what you do: Do not let this chain of love end with you.'

Under the napkin were four more $100 bills.

Well, there were tables to clear, sugar bowls to fill, and people to serve, but the waitress made it through another day. That night when she got home from work and climbed into bed, she was thinking about the money and what the lady had written. How could the lady have known how much she and her husband needed it? With the baby due next month, it was going to be hard....

She knew how worried her husband was, and as he lay sleeping next to her, she gave him a soft kiss and whispered soft and low, 'Everything's going to be all right. I love you, Bryan Anderson.'
.....

There is an old saying 'What goes around comes around.'

Today you read this story here. Tomorrow (or whenever after this), let this very story resound in your blogs, websites, where ever. Share this message with countless others so that this world becomes a better place to live in.

It is our responsibility to spread love, kindness, and all things good to others around the world. Because, "What goes around, comes around"
.....

Point to ponder:
It's strangely funny, i just realized that the phrase "what goes around comes around' is almost often used in a NEGATIVE light. Don't you recall?

You want to be mischievous and pull a prank on someone and a friend would say, "What goes around, comes around. You better be careful."
Or you so want to scold/criticize another person but you heard your conscience screaming, "what goes around, comes around"?
Always scared it will happen to you, someday.

Well, it's a good thing la, considering that the phrase actually prevent you from doing bad things, but why not think in a more POSITIVE light, "What goes around, comes around, no matter how long it takes...?"

I'd better give way to this car because... "WGACA"
Why not spend some time to help this friend of mine? Because... "WGACA"
I should continue giving comments, swinging by peoples' blogs and clicking ads supporting them because eventually... "WGACA"
I can do this. I can say good things about people and make them feel better about themselves. Because... "WGACA"
And the sky is the limit... :-D

Think about it.
"What goes around, comes around" XD

This is a STUPID scam tactic!

I got this message several nights ago:

+6281514371152

Pengumuman dari MENARA ASTRO, TANIAH!
Prepaid Anda dpt Bonus RM17.000. From ASTRO MALAYSIA,
Sila dail Number office:0062817705397

From: SDN.BHD.

I mean like, "Hwhaaaattt....?"

You can't seriously expect me to believe THAT, now, would you? How many of you got these kinda SMSs before? Let's see a show of hands.

Hm. There's quite a few over there through the monitor. I'm very sure you didn't fall for it right? Cause if you did, i dunno what to say already. Haha.

Furthermore, telco companies aren't taking measure to prevent similar incidents from further occurring.

Take for example, the Akademi Fantasia SMS scam a few years ago. ASTRO made a statement to warn its viewers. Likewise with Maybank and CIMB, who also had similar scam SMSs sent out in their name seeking for personal info. The list goes on.

But that's only warning. And people don't really heed warnings, until it's too late!
If tomorrow they find a way to scam people with FREEBIES like movie passes, they will do it. And more will fall victim. Haih. So telcos, do something!!

So on our part, let's be wary about the SMSs we receive. Report to the telcos if you get scam SMSs. If not, they (telcos) will hit back at us saying we users didn't inform them. =S

Just wanted to share. Reading back the SMS, its hilariously laden with grammar mistakes, not to mention bahasa rojak! Sekali English, sekali Bahasa Malaysia..

Perhaps they wanted to target both English and Malay users? HAha.

Remembering Mummy - Water Baptism

Today marks 1 whole year since Mummy's demise on 9th October 2007, last year. She is truly missed by loved ones and friends, and will remain in our memories forever.

We would be visiting her grave and spend some time with her tomorrow. But for those of you who wouldn't be able to do so, i thought it'd be nice to mark this day with a meaningful post, one ive promised to post a long time ago.

As you may already have known, Mummy was diagnosed with third stage ovarian cancer in September 06. Since then, we as a family have grown closer to God and here's a post about Mummy receiving water baptism in church. Water baptism by full submersion is one of the few stages, so to speak, in Christian lives for salvation. She is the only one, among my grandfather and grandmother, who incidentally, also died of cancer (lung/breast), who has not only accepted Christ as her personal saviour, but also taken water baptism. Here it is in pictures:

Best Shots of the Day:

Standing Tall.

Gaze.

Laughters are the best.

Yamaha.

Hope you could see that Mummy was a strong woman, inside, fighting cancer all the way. Notice the before and after differences in Mummy. She was rather lethargic and her face filled with worry, but she had renewed strength right after baptism. She was wearing a winning smile.

It gave her peace and assurance that everything will be alright. At the very least, she looks happy. She hadn't looked this happy since the weeks after the blardy doctor put her on those pesky antibiotics, which made her lose weight, and eventually increased her suffering inside. OMG, i wish i could slap the daylights out of that man for being so irresponsible! Period.

But i guess i shudn't desecreate this meaningful post today with anger and hatred. I'll supress it -- until the time is right.

Let's remember Mummy, Anne Ho Gim Suan, as the woman, mother, wife, and most kind person who tried to make the world a better place while she was here -- the wonderfully strong and faithful woman to her husband and who brought up two kids and had to put up with their, at times, most silly antics.

We really miss you alot Mummy!
If you're reading this, come visit us in our dreams sometime, k? ;,,,,(

Feel free to read about my previous posts on Mummy (if you haven't already)
JESUS Loves Mummy more
Those final moments...
The funeral service
Thank you
