My Favourite Computer Game of All Time

There. I've finally done it. A post about "My Favorite Computer Game of ALL Time." Yay.

I used to remember, back in Form 5, i once tagged along a bunch of nerd friends into a cyber cafe. That time the CS wave just began to sweep into KL's shores. As i stood there watching, behind my feisty friend who was eagerly playing, I found the game hard and confusing.

Duno duno click click what la, press press what la, then, "GO! GO! GO!" from both computer and people in the cafe.

When killed the enemy, my friends (and others who shot enemies too) will exclaim victory and scream out loud. "Yeah!! Sei mei...?! SH.", some would exclaim aloud. (Yeah, died already or not..?! stupid a**)

Some would stand up and "CLAP CLAP CLAP!"

But when kena shot, and DIED (must die for this scene to take place), my friends will go, "MCH..!!! TNS...!! Cilaka punya olang... huiyoh!"

If kena friendly fire, all hell breaks loose. He'll go, "MCH..!!!! *^!*@&%%#*&!^@#&*^&**!##*&!@%&^%!&^%^&$%&*!@%&*%&*!@%
WHO TEACH YOU PLAY WAN??!!!"
(walks over to friend who shot him and b*tch slaps him! *bish*)

I was dumbfounded, i tell you. Like this @_@ *doinkz*

I used to think, "Fsssttpppbbttt.... whats so good about it, anyway? Running around, buying guns and grenade rounds, then shooting people. If died ady, MUSt wait for the the last kill to respawn. AND swearing at each other. What's the fun in THAT?"
(ps. i was never a big fan of multiplayer games)

"That also buy only ONE grenade. Can't you buy a whole cart load?", i used to muse myself.

Years later, i ate my words back. Ouch!

It's weird to say CS is my ALL time game, considering i've just only started playing Counter Strike Source about 3 years ago, no thanks to the bad influence i got from my rommie, Foong Dar, otherwise known as Afdee (He says its like Fixed Deposit -- FD. >_<)

We had LAN connection in our rooms back then, and we would hook ourselves up almost each night to play. (oh wait, that didn't really sound right, did it? no pun intended.. haha.) Kinda like our very own cyber cafe at the comfort of our rooms.

*rephrase* We were so into the game -- because we were shooting people rather than bots -- that we could literally be glued to our PCs and CS until graveyard-y hours. So into CS until we even had a team name, "THE HEADS."

WHy? This is our story. There's six of us in the geng:


Zaf started it all. He played with his roommie, Abg Fahzi. Then got Afdee to install, then Alip. See see them play, like dam syok oni, but still tahan. Dun wana install. Two weeks later, then finally me. :-D

We usually played us 5 on one side VS like 15 bots; on a 1:3 ratio. Abg Fahzi has played so alot, that he gets headshots with simple Desert Eagle with ease.

Since then, he got the name HeadHead. (The rest of us still had 'headless' names then)

Zaf always swears when CS-ing. his favorite swear word was "Shit arh..!!". Hence the name SHIThead. (apparently he also get lotsa headshots)

With two heads named already, Afdee thot it would be funny to self name himself Dickhead. Indeed, sometimes, he is one. So everyone agreed it was the name for him. :-D

Then it was my turn. Being Dickhead's roommie (and also already getting better at headshots) who's always trying to find similarities with my roommie, i tried to find an equavelent to the word 'dick'. "Penishead?", i first thought. Nope, doesn't have the ummph! to it.

CoCkHead was the way to go! (not that i had any issues with cocks) :-D

Finally, since Alip was a close ally, but was the only one who was headless in name, we prompted him to get one. He came up with Junkhead. I can't really recall why, actually. Haha.

And for Sham, he's okay in CS, but he seldom plays with us. He rather studies at night. Haha. Well, to be honest, he plays on Afdee's pc. So when Afdee's in, which is most of the time, Sham doesn't play, hence the least active in our geng. He names himself Navajo for a reason i don't wanna know. :-P

There you have it. Our CS story. We take it very seriously, our game and our name.

We even came out as 2nd runner up in our first ever LAN party in UKM!

No one else can take a Head name, unless we say so. If they remain defiant, its WAR to the end!

We've got some juniors to join in the CS games somewhere near the end of our final semester, and we had lotsa fun! almost the whole floor is hooked up and playing with us! (opps.. this sounds odd again. haha)

We initiated a CS revolution in college, so to speak. LoL. We had like 10 other players, sometimes playing for or against us Heads. Mostly, it was against us. And guess who won? US. It was a no brainer, really. :-)

I love it the most because it was my point of entry into the game world. And it gave me wonderful memories with Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists which i've had the privilege to battled with.

Anyway, this IS my favourite game of all time. I think you can see why.

Now just for you; CS Italy - the real deal. You'll have no regrets watching!
