God's Miracle on me

Dear friends, i want to share with all of you my personal experience of having God work in my life. Some may not agree and pass this off as just mere coincidence, but i urge you to read through this post with and open mind and heart. This would be a testimony to God's believers, but for the non-believers, i guess this would make a nice entry in my blog. Have a nice read... =)

This happened yesterday, Wednesday, 18.07.07. As you would know from my previous entry, my poor old car suffered a flat tyre two nights earlier. I asked around with some friends and lecturers, they told me that there were workshops around UKM and Bangi that could help. So i decided i would get it checked myself, and not having to trouble my dad. Worried that about how and where to get it fixed - all on my own - i knelt down by my bed and prayed to Him for guidance the night before.

The next day, i was going to attend an SPSS (statistics) talk at Pusat Komputer at 11. As i was heading to my car at the Principal's house, E. Azizan, my college's manager, drove up the driveway to drop off the Principal's son. And all of a sudden, out of nowhere, i just happen cheekily enquire about where to get my tyre fixed - although ive already had a picture on where to go. En. Azizan helpfully told redirected me to a shop new his home in Sec 2, 5 mins away from UKM. I agreed, and we went separate ways.

After the talk, and dropping a friend back at college, i drove to Sec 2. Along the way i was feeling alil confident about fixing my tyre. Then i realized, En. Azizan didn't specify exactly which shop and where. I was bumped. But still i continued driving, hope the grace of God would guide me.

I was at Sec 2 in no time. Driving with what uncertainty that laid ahead, i soon came to an area with many many workshops. Now, i had to choose ONE to go to. Which is the good one? Will i be cheated? Are they friendly? Gosh. I was really bumped. I decided to just take a drive through alley, just to survey from afar on which shop seemed okay.

It was here when God helped. I duno if its coincidence, from the car, i could see three workshops in the entire row of shophouses. Two of which had cars outside them, but only ONE was empty. And it turns out that it was a Chinese shop. (not that i'm a racist, who's only looking for Chinese shops - it's just that sort of feeling of belonging and familiarity when you're with someone from your similliar ethnic background.. so please don't get me wrong. haha..)

Nways, i drove into the Chinese shop, and guess what? They were more than happy to help my out. They were nice and helpful and friendly too. They answered my enquiries (i was still nervous then) politely. And as it turned out, the whole thing took only 15 mins and cost me a whooping RM3. Yeap.. RM3. Cool eh? lol. Apparently, my tyre head (the part which air is pumped into) was faulty. Haha.

Guess it wasn't a nail or a sabotage that flattened my tyre, as i had initially thought. Within 30 mins, i had my tyre fixed. Well, it could have been worst though. Been to a greedy mechanic, had more than necessary repaired, more expensive, and i may have even got lost. But then again, i may also have got an even better deal. But i doubted so.

And so I said my goodbyes and drove away with such contentment which i can't barely describe with words. I was blessed by the Lord. And i Thank and Praise Him everyday for that..

12 STEPS TO CHANGE A FLAT TYRE

12 WAYS TO CHANGE A FLAT TYRE (according to maRCus)

  1. Notice that the steering wheel is weirdly heavier and constantly steers to the right, but worry it to be the act of sabotage or a steering problem - anything but a flat tyre.
  2. Then out of frustration, get out of the car and try too see if anything is wrong outside your car. Use the handphone to illumination if the area is too dark. Nokia 3360 ususally works well. :D
  3. When you see the flat tyre, say HAIYAHHHHHHH!!!! with all your lung capacity - but be cautious not to be too loud, if not people around may think your "tak betul", shouting at your car in the darkness.
  4. Drive back to a bright area and pray you know how to change a flat tyre. You may begin to panic now - but just a little.
  5. Empty your car boot with a surprised look that you there's so much junk in there, a whole generation of roaches would be able to live in it. Get it all out.
  6. Reach in for the spare tyre and take it out too. Pray that it is inflated. If it isn't, you may allow your panic to climb a notch higher. Standing-by your handphone at speed dial would be a good idea.
  7. Remove the jack. If its an old car, aged 20 years or more, try to remove it gently, even if you're clueless first timer at changing a flat. NEVER ATTEMPT TO YANK IT OUT. (which i did at first... haih =$ )
  8. If your efforts are futile after 3 trys, you should switch on your PANIC CITY mode. Grab your handphone with your greasy hands and dial the number of almost everyone you know that has a vehicle - starting with your relatives - and eventually your DAD.
  9. After realizing verbal instructions aren't helping, hang up. Increase your panic level, and maybe get angry at yourself. Re-attempt at removing the jack. (just twist and it will retract, and it'll slip right out) You'll be amazed of how surprising dumb you were for not knowing how to get it out the first time. Once again, a great big HAIIIYOH!!! at yourself.
  10. Read the instructional visual on the 20 year old jack (which has never been used) and franticly bend down to figure out which part of the car to place the jack - and end up dirtying your right knee with the mud of flood waters two days earlier.
  11. Try and try and try for 3 times because the fear of jacking the car in the wrong place may result in a puncture and thus the splashing of water into the car the next time its on the road on a rainy day.
  12. Finally, when the car is jacked up, your Dad should already have arrived from a dinner he rushed out of from KL because of your S.O.S call. Then its Daddy Cool to the rescue.

Damage control.

As always, one for the album! ouch~

Well, that's all folks!
Thanks for your 40 seconds.

Halo Cafe

shorty pants at her best.

=)))

Halo Cafe
Located at ground floor of
South City Plaza, Seri Kembangan

I only went there because Kuan Ming told me it was a matter of national security.

But to my amazement, sze looi was singing there.

We were both pleasantly surprised to see each other.

But that was about it.

Cuz the place sucked.

The drinks were horribly expen$ive
(which reminds me, i own ming $)

And there was a F.O.C service offered:

Blood donation to Mosquitoes.

Every day. Any time its open.

haih.

We've seen many ups and downs together too.
At some parts of our lives together,

We've successfully managed to be

"the pain in each others butts."

Yet we're still together.
and till this day,

i Wonder why.

OMG... i finally got my wireless prob fixed!

i just paniced once i noticed it was missing after i reformatted my computer.

which was silly, yea.. i kno.. you can stop with the grinning now.

i still cant believe i went on for an entire week assuming for the worst, that i would have to send my Toshiba laptop to the factory.

haiyo. stupid, yes? aha... ikno.

but thank God for other people cleaver-er than us.

I finally got my little "silly" problem fixed when Siew Sin, the NYDP at Kolej Dato' Onn, who is also my junior, came by, and found the driver actually sitting there in my C-drive.

in my gratefulness, i couldnt stop laughing at myself. literally. like...

"Could i have actually been any dumber?" kweng kweng kweng...

So, thnx Siew Sin...

nways, got up today at 8am, but thts only thanks to my trusty ol neighbour, SHam, for it it wasnt for him, id be late for class.. maklumlah.. so used to sleeping in late during hols kan.. aduhai @_@

wel, things went well, for starters. met classmates after the long hols.. some were thinner, some were fatter, some had new hair styles, but really.. theyre all just the same. haih. my first class was Pengurusan Perhubungan Manusia. dun get fooled by the name of it, cuz both the lecturers teaching the class was downright crazee.. and whn i say crazee, i mean happening giler lar...

their fav past time: LAUGHING. hwa hwa hwa.

then it was nex class at 12pm. met up qith media frens from other programs pulak. same as before la, some noticable differences on the outside, but inside, all the same oni... haih. dun get me wrong, i was delighted to see some of them.. ahucks~! nex class at 3pm. same lecturer frm last sem. my Daddy's 50!!

hahaha... my Daddy's 50 years old today! hes as old as Malaysia!! aha. and im back from uni to celebrate with my family - the Tannies. =)

well, this is probably gona be a simple post - didnt get chance to snap alot of pics.

today is my daddy's bday.. and its also the 5th day of Minggu Mesra Mahasiswa (MMM) or orientation week in UKM. ive managed to get off from duty to come back home.. thanks to bonda pengetua, my residential college's principal! lolx

nways, started driving back frm UKM bout 5.30 pm, thn reached home at bout 7.15 pm. dad was on his way home from PJ. everywhere was jammed la today. haih. so, when everyone was home, we just decided to have a simple dinner - so we zipped off to the nearest Pizza Hut. aha... but yea.. not the 'ideal' 50th bday dinner destination... ikno. XD

ordered the new cheese-thumb-pluck-out pizza.. since its new, so figured we'd give it a try. the service at Pizza Hut Genting Kelang was unsatisfactory as usual, with the management oblivious to the fact that they're probaly short handed and staff morale was low. HAIH

but we had a good time. sharing exciting life stories for the past week, while njoying a scrumptious meal.

and tht was it. my Daddy's 50th bday dinner at Pizza Hut. even though at a not-so-ideal venue, and not-so-desireable service, it was the company and warmth of the family that matters.

dont you agree? i truly tink so. theres NOTHING more in the world than family. cuz at the end of the day, a family is all you have. i duno about you readers, but i am truly grateful and am utterly thankful for the blessings which had been showered onto me and my family. i thank God everyday for my loved ones.

have you embraced you loved ones today?
do it.
